Firefox Doesn't Install

Mozilla Firefox 5 doesn't install. After download completion, file is clicked and extraction starts up, once it reaches 100%, it vanishes and the usual firefox install manager doesn't pop up and nothing happens, even when left for an hour. There seems to be nothing wrong with my laptop as I can still install other programs.

Windows 7 Ultimate x64 8GB RAM AMD Radeon HD 6770M 750GB HD

Make sure you are using an admin account. The install process would normally be expected to take seconds or minutes not an hour. Maybe firefox is already installed but here is no icon, have you tried looking for its file firefox.exe

I don't see a Mozilla Firefox folder on my program files, and the uninstaller doesn't show Firefox. Also somehow firefox x64 works......
