being asked to upgrade when I have the latest version of firefox
When I start Firefox, I am told that I am not running the latest version, upgrade now. I do have the latest version installed.
I have Windows 7 installed on my computer.

Try downloading and re-installing Firefox. You can get it from here:
I have re-installed Firefox three times! Did not solve the problem. Thank you for the help.

Also check the home page setting.
