Back arrow doesn't work or light up. Tried safe mode thing. Not stuck in safe mode. What to do? Thanks. ckline

My back arrow isn't working. I followed troubleshooting process; went into and out of safe mode. Closed down and restarted a couple of times. I'm running the latest Firefox on Dell Studio laptop, Windows Vista. I've done all the troubleshooting listed below. No change.

I assume that it still didn't work in Safe mode?

Can you right-click either button to get a drop down list?

Are you using Private Browsing?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile:

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files
