How do I switch off the session restore function in Firefox 7.0.1?

If Firefox encounters a troublesome website which causes it to crash (or more commonly in my experience, locks it into the state of 'Not Responding') then when I restart the software it automatically goes straight to the problem page again... and, obviously, crashes immediately again. Only on the 2nd restart do I get the page headed 'Well this is embarrassing...' (a daft message from a piece of software but that's another issue) and then have the option to start a new session. But why should this laborious process be necessary? Is there a way of switching the session restore function off completely and forever? Many thanks

Thanks Swarnava, unfortunately that URL won't load, I'm just getting a 'connection timed out' error. Is that information stored elsewhere? --- actually, just checked & none of the mozillazine site will load.

Set the pref browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes to 0 on the about:config page to get the about:sessionrestore page immediately with the first restart after a crash has occurred or the Task Manager was used to close Firefox.

That will allow you to deselect the tab(s) that you do not want to reopen, but will allow to reopen other tabs.
