I have windows vista,all of a sudden I can't load my firefox page!

Since last 10 days I have problem loading firefox page.I try Internet Explorer and it works fine therefore my internet connection is good but for some reason it doesn't load .I also checked my fire wall and made sure that's not the problem.So far no one has helped me to trouble shoot this.Please help me to resolve this.

Hi shahramh-

I see from your System Details that you are running an old version of Firefox. I would recommend upgrading to the newest Firefox- and hopefully that will solve your problem. Steps are here:

  • http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
  • Uninstall your current Firefox version.
  • Do not remove personal data when you uninstall the current version.
  • Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
  • It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
  • Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.
  • It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
  • Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.
