In the "web" address bar there is a bookmark star with an "arrow down" beside it. Using this arrow results in a drop down window showing some history of sites visited previously. How does one delete sites simply without going through the "History" menu and searching for individual history item "cookies" and laboriously deleting each line?

The drop down list that opens if you click that arrow at the far right end of the location bar are website URLs that you typed or pasted in the location bar.
You can delete a bookmark if you open the URL and click the star on the location bar to get the "Edit This Bookmark" dialog which has a Remove button.

  • Highlight an entry in the drop down list
  • Press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to remove it.

Thanks Cor-el. I feel a bit dumb, but I had become to used to Internet Explorer. If one wants to delete something, just press the Delete Button. Too easy. Thanks again. FOH. (nirranna)
