about 10 days ago started having trouble with Hotmail. Could isgn in but keep getting the following message. I can send mail and review my contacts but that is it. I then tried getting in with Internet Explorer and it works fine. I do not like IE because I have problems with some websites.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Thank You. Did things in reverse order but not safe mode for Firefox. One of the first three did it and also got to clear most of those cookies. Karl
