I keep getting a pop up notice to update to 9,0,1. I now run 4.0.1 on my Mac. Whenever I click on it nothing happens. I also tried to check the forums and the choices appear for a second and then disappears?

Try hitting help/about from FF menu. There you have a check for updates button.

Try hitting help/about from FF menu. There you have a check for updates button.
If you have problem with update it is better to download the newest version and install:
http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
