their is a little social network share box that appears on the left side of some web pages, its a social networking share tool of some kind, it has facebook, twitter etc. How do i get rid of it?

Adblock Plus and the Antisocial filter subscription will block that.

You can also check that you haven't enabled the Social features in Firefox by having set the social.enabled pref to true.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
