I unintentionally downloaded mixi.dj. I can't get rid of it. I have looked in my extensions list. It is not there. It also does not show up when I go to "uninstall". Nothing by that name or conduit is listed.

I have Windows 8. Also, I said in my question that I had already gone to the uninstall list and mixi.dj is not there nor is anything by Conduit.

this does not answer the question of how to remove the mixidj search. Uninstalling the program does not help!

This is the only solution that really works, to get rid of Mixi.dj in your search. This does not relate to removal of the the toolbar or add-ons, which is performed easily through Tools....

Go to

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/searchreset/

and download searchreset.

Very simple and effective!!

Uninstalling mixi dj doesn't get rid of it completely because it has already set itself up as your default browser.

You need to go to Tools and reset your default browser. I did this and so far, no problems.
