Does that message appear instead of the page, or in a pop-up dialog, or ??

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.

(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache

If you can at least load the Southwest home page, use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.

Otherwise, or to be more thorough, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced

On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"

If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.

(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first)

If you can view any page on the site:

  • right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
  • Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"

This will open a dialog where you can remove the individual cookies.

If you can't get on the site at all, open the dialog right here on this site, then change the domain at the top to southwest.com and remove the cookies.

Then try loading the site. Any improvement?

Are you using a bookmark to go to this website?

Thank you, I cleared everything out and it now works. I was actually in the middle of booking a trip on SW and ended up with the Wikimedia page when I pressed "confirm" for the flight. And could not get back to SW even if I started a new search. Appreciate your prompt reply.

Thank you. You both offered my question so promptly. I appreciate the help, and the fact that your first solution (clearing cache) worked. Again, Thanks
