Thanks for your suggestion. I did as you said - in all apps l cleared cache & data from Google Play store & download manager. Then I tried downloading Firefox Beta again. Still get "package file is invalid" message after download. I also uninstalled Firefox Beta and tried for a fresh download. Ended up with no Firefox Beta at all until I found a source for the v23 apk. Rebooted device several times between steps. This issue is occurring on both my Nexus 10 and my Nexus 7, both JB 4.3. Other ideas?

I have a Google Nexus 7 (32 GB Wi-Fi Only) Tablet. I have all the latest updates and version 4.2.3 of Google Play. I have followed all the above and even manually went through every application in the "All" section of the applications in the settings and manually cleared the cache of EVERY program on the tablet. I deleted my google play account, rebooted my Wi-Fi router, and powered down the tablet. Then I powered up the router and the tablet and had even di-installed FireFox Beta prior to all that and it STILL DOESN'T INSTALL. I still get the error message that "Package file is invalid." I give up. There's a problem with either Nexus 7's new 4.2.3, a problem with the FireFox file, or there's a problem with Google Play. I need help! Anyone please!?

I found a type of workaround. If you install AirDroid and then drag/drop the .APK file from Mozilla into the drop-box on the artificial desktop on your computer once linked with AirDroid that seemed to work. Not sure how stable it is, though.

If anyone figures out how to fix the underlying problem or if an update is in order please notify us all.
