Why is there no text on any webpages?
Yesterday Firefox was working fine durning the day, but around 10pm all the text on websites dissapeared. There is no text on google, I can type into google search box with no text showing, it finds results but no text. I tried to highlight to see if it had white text but there is nothing.
I tried turning off the acceleration in advanced options and I tried running in safe mode. No idea what happened or how to fix it.
No text on Amazon either. Hulu has text descriptions but text doesn't show up on subtitles/closed captions. Youtube has no text descriptions, search bar is empty when I type but I can still search for what I typed.

Fixed! There were issues with font permissions after an update went through. Thanks though!

Can you confirm that it's both text that you type in Firefox UI and web forms that don't show up. And also some text on pages also not displaying.
First things to check is font and language settings in Firefox, also check in your OS.
Do you see the cursor when you type?
Have you tried safe mode yet to exclude addons as the problem, note that addons such as Ubufox (Ubuntu addon) need to be uninstalled using the package manager (apt, Synaptic)
