Hi, I am running, on a Windows 10 laptop, Thunderbird 128.7.1esr (64-bit), which seems to be the latest version. If NordVPN (with all the Threat protections PRO options turned off) is on, and any server is chosen onto NordVPN, Thunderbird is no longer able to connect and download any message. I knew there were some issues if the NordVPN threat protections were on, but now I just cannot use Thunderbird anymore if NordVPN is on. I have about 20+ email addresses with different domain names, on different servers, and the connection problems occur with all of them. This does not happen if I run NordVPN on my android phone with another e-mail client, so I am starting to think that, for some reasons, Thunderbird and NordVPN have developed some sort of incompatibility.

I have tried several online suggestions to speed up page load on my Firefox browser. None have improved my situation. I can start a web page load on Firefox while simultaneously working from another browser. The other browsers load and I am able to complete my business before Firefox even loads. I am quite frustrated by this as I have used Firefox for as long as I can remember.

Please create a version of Hong Kong calendar that is in Traditional Chinese characters instead of Simplified Chinese characters. Please create a version of Taiwan calendar that is in Traditional Chinese characters instead of English.

This is how Google got me thru firefoxbrowser. Everything was fine, and I try to keep things updated. It said the system needed G. Play Store updated. After I did, Google was all over firefox. It's wanting to have me upgrade again to attach it's self in other ways. It will never stop. I might as well. 4 years of this, has made me look like I'm crazy. I plan on throwing it in the river now. I will live without a phone, cause I'm tired of having Google in my life. Sorry, but it's not gonna end. It's picked me to manipulate. It will have to hold on, cause I'm going to enjoy watching it go down stream. Sorry, good bye

The background is that I am using a contact form from my website. The From field on the contact form contains the name of the person sending the form, John Doe say (information I require), plus my own email as the sender (technically essential.)

However when I get an incoming email, in the From field in TB recognises the name in the email as being me. Then instead of showing John Doe as the From name, it shows my own name plus the little round head-and-shoulders icon. Well, I know my own name, what I need to see is John Doe's name. But no amount of clicking on the icon will show me John Doe.

[Yes! There ARE other ways of getting the name from the contact form! They don't help and this question is about TB, not the contact form. I need to have it like this for reasons to do with searching for emails inside TB.]

However, if I search "From contains <John Doe>" then the email correctly comes up, proving that the sender's name does arrive, it just doesn't get displayed.

The best solution would be if can completely get rid of the feature where TB shows the name and the icon, and revert to how things used to be where it showed the email and name directly, no icon. Can this be done?

I put in firefox as a browser. I have problems with Google Chrome. It insists on knowing anything I do. It won't allow me any privacy. Has become a nightmare with it. I have been scammed by a lot of its play store apps, and by Google it's self. Can I do anything without it interfering with anything?? It has taken over my firefox browser, and it has to have all my bank info and game info. Even if I purchase things, it has stopped them from going thru, and hid texts sent to me from my bank. It's like it's a virus, it won't let me enjoy a game or do anything without warning on putting firefox in and it stopped my emails when I made it my default, plus it stated I wasn't allowed to purchase anything if I didn't go thru it. I won't give it my card, cause I make a purchase and it either won't go thru or I have extra amounts taken. I hate Google and it either it gets away from me or I'll throw this in the river! And I don't want to hit the share data, button. Cause u then, might not receive this. I disabled while I sent.

I have a new pc and installed Thunderbird on it. From my former pc I transported all the folders to a new directory and wanted to use these folders to progress with my emails in TB as I used to do. Did it multiple times over the years and always worked.

In Server options I go to MessageStorage and choose under Local Folders: the specific folder for that account, which I have been using for years to get the profile and all of the data/mails with it.

But this time it failed to load my profile with all the data and even the folders I made my self are not integrated either. All I see are 2 folders with the account the 'Inbox' and 'Recycle Bin'.

What can I do to get all my folders and mails restored?
