When I have read and deleted an e-mail the server send the e-mail over and over again. What is the problem? I am using Windows 7 Professional.
When I have read my e-mails they are not deleted from the server and continue to arrive in my inbox. I am using Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. My other PCs on the Network do not have this problem. They run under Windows XP and Windows 7 Home edition (both 32 Bit).
On my W7 PC I have a number of folders in which e-mails are stored. In this list of folders are a number of folders generated called popstate-xxx.dat where xxx is any number from 1 to 900. I cannot seem to delete these folders. What are they?

They are the "state" file that is used to workout where the download process is up to. Their existence, in quantity, and your inability to delete them leads me to suspect an external source here.
Restart the operating system in safe mode with Networking. This loads only the very basics needed to start your computer while enabling an Internet connection. Click on your operating system for instructions on how to start in safe mode: Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, OSX
- If safe mode for the operating system fixes the issue, there's other software in your computer that's causing problems. Possibilities include but not limited to: AV scanning, virus/malware, background downloads such as program updates.
