Chosen solution

Would you do this please: 3-bar menu > Options > Privacy > History > and make sure you set it to   Remember History   (and definately not to   Never Remember History )

What are you trying to log into?

In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.

FredMcD   asked you:   "What are you trying to log into   ?"
And the answer   is   .........

to reconnect to sync

Note that changing the password of the Sync account or requesting a new password because you do not remember the password will delete (remove) all data previously stored on the Sync server and this data is lost and can't be restored. So maybe you'd like to try again:   accounts.firefox.com
Make sure to allow cookies for that domain and also note that it may take a while before you can actually login to the Sync account.

I'm not sure what you mean by:   "it's telling me working after I put my user name and password."   ? What are the exact words of that message   ? Did you click on   'Looking for Firefox Sync ? Get started here '  ?

right hand corner firefox menu, click on that then click on reconnect to sync. put in user name and password then login, time comes on then working comes on after a while. it will stay like that for eternity.

It may take several hours   .......

I only just now know what you mean when you mention   'Working'   ........   (sorry   !) This could mean that some error has occured. Would it be possible for you to check in the web developers console for any errors or failing network requests,   by pressing   Ctrl + Shift + k   ?

thanks but I do not understand that jargon, this is what i saw

This site appears to use a scroll-linked positioning effect. This may not work well with asynchronous panning; see https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Mozilla/Performance/ScrollLinkedEffects for further details and to join the discussion on related tools and features!

hope you can make sense of it, followed the link but it is still jargon to me.

I also have the same issue trying to log in to the Help forum. Hi, I cannot log into the help forums using my original username and password as it is rejected. When I try to reset the password Thunderbird says it has sent an email and to follow instructions to reset. However no email gets received. I'm only able to log in here by creating a new account. I have checked my Webmail and the Spam folders and no matter what there is no mail from Thunderbird. My Thunderbird is working fine for normal mail but nothing is received for sorting this issue. It recognises my email addresses but rejects my password. Secondly I have noticed a massive amount of memory is being taken up by Thunderbird, in the order of 55Gb!!! Can anyone explain that or what I can do. I have used Thunderbird for years on POP3 but do not have 55Gb stored anywhere.
