I am totally convinced that Thunderbird is trying to put me out of business. I have been trying for three days to open Thunderbird that will show me my incoming emails, allow me to delete the ones I've read or don't wish to read - all without freezing and telling me it's not responding. I value Thunderbird because it allows me to insert images and stylize my messages not possible in other mail software. I have run Malwarebytes looking for root kits, spies etc . Then I ran my paid for AVG Premium Internet Protection and in both instances nothing was detected. I note that I am not alone with suffering from Thunderbird - I would truly appreciate help before I throw in the towel and go for Google Mail via Virgin media - which I hate.
