Which parts of my Firefox profile should I regularly backup (backing up all takes too long)?

Ideally I just want to save my bookmarks, my saved passwords - rather than the 0.7G of the whole profile. I can see from the help pages that this means the files places.sqlite (although I don't want to know every website I've been to!) & key3.db and signons.sqlite. But where are these hidden? None of them appear in my 9cf14m2q.default - the only .sqlite is index.sqllite - and there are no .db files!

Chosen solution

You may be looking in the folder for the browsing cache.
The Firefox Profile Folder is in \AppData\Roaming and not in \AppData\Local

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder
  • C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
