I keep getting rerouted to another web site from the one I'm trying to get to
I just purchased a new computer with windows 8.1 and downloaded Mozilla most ever thing works fine except when I try to get to one web site (avast.com) I get rerouted to another web site (my PC backup.com) and I can't seem able to fix the problem.

hi Vincent, accroding to your system details you have an addon called "MediaPlayer 3.1.0" installed which is likely adware or malicious.
- please go to the firefox menu ≡ > addons > extensions & this entry.
- also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there.
