Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

I'm only running a handful of add-ons. I tried using FF in Safe Mode, and this does not help. This seems to be a problem particularly in Facebook. I'm using latest FF on an Intel Mac (OS 10.6.4) with all recent Flash and Java updates.
