I downloaded thunderbird because I hate yahoo mail, but thunderbird says my password is incorrect. It does open my yahoo mail on yahoo but not on thunderbird. I went to my yahoo mail to see if I could change the password and cannot find out how to change a password.

most of these errors are caused by anti virus programs, not faulty passwords.

Try disabling email scanning in your anti virus program.
