The shortcut that I've had for nearly a year I have somehow managed to "alter" so I am now getting the message "the item thunderbird exe that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly". How do I restore so I can then access my e-mails. Thank you

Options: Either check the target info and modify Right click on shortcut icon and select 'Properties' check 'attributes' - read-only and hidden should not be selected. click on 'Shortcut' tab Target should say : 32 bit: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe" or 64 bit: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe"

'Start in' should say: 32 bit: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird" or 64 bit: "C:\Program Files(x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird"

Run: 'Normal Window' click on OK

OR Delete the shortcut icon on desktop and create a new one.

For example: In Windows OS, Thunderbird is auto installed in either:

32 bit: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\ 64 bit: C:\Program Files(x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird\

In 'Mozilla Thunderbird' folder will be a 'thunderbird.exe' Application file. right click on 'thunderbird.exe' file and select 'Create Shortcut'. It will probably say cannot create shortcut in that location and will suggest to put shortcut on 'Desktop', so say ok.
