Inbox in two locations

I have two inboxes on my Thunderbird mail page. One is listed under a folder that is headed with my email address. Also there is a sent and trash file there. Then under the 'Local Folders' there is an in box there also. They both are receiving messages but if you delete a message in one it will not delete in the other.
