Hi jbossot,

I understand that you would like to lower the volume of notifications from messages received in your Firefox OS device.

You should be able to either:

  • Lower the overall volume by using the volume buttons on your device.
  • Change volume settings by going into Settings > Volume.
  • Manage notifications by going into Settings > Notifications.

If you are still having issues, please reply to this message with the following information:

  • What is the model of your phone?
  • What is the OS version and Build ID found in the Device Information page? Please visit this link if you need help finding the Build ID of your phone.
  • Please provide the exact steps to reproduce the issue you are encountering.
  • How often do you encounter this issue?

Please be sure to include as much detail as possible, including any websites that may exhibit this issue, and any error messages that you may be receiving, exactly as they appear. This will ensure that we will have all the information needed to investigate into this. Thank you for your help and we look forward to hearing from you!

Thanks Ralph for your quick answer. In fact I use Firefox on my home computer (hp) with Windows Vista.

And I don't want to lower the overall volume by using the volume buttons on it. I don't have (on Firefox) any "Settings" choice.

This is why I asked for help!

Hi jbossot,

This question was entered in the Firefox OS category, so I assumed it was an issue with your Firefox OS mobile phone. I am moving this question to the Firefox category, since from what you mentioned, it appears that it's an issue with your Firefox Browser in your home computer.

Please reply with the following information:

  • What is the message that you receive on your browser? Is it from an email provider? A messenger application? It's likely that you have to change the settings inside the settings of the specific provider.
  • What is the version of your Firefox browser?
  • How often do you encounter this issue?

We look forward to hear back from you.

Thanks,

- Ralph

jbossot,

That's not a normal feature in Firefox. Must be related to an add-on that you have installed.
