My mozilla thunderbird is not bringing in the latest e-mails. It shows 6 unread e-mails from last year as the latest e-mails. It has done this in the past but shutting it down and restarting it would fix the problem. Shutting down/restart is not fixing it this time. It is on my computer at work. My computer at home works fine. I deleted it off my work computer and reinstalled but that didn't fix anything. After I re-installed it on my work computer, it brought in my e-mail addresses and the same e-mails from before I re-installed it. I didn't have to set up the accounts.

Thunderbird stores data and program separately, that is why you rarely see recommendations to reinstall as doing so only refreshes program files.

I am guessing that the account details are simply not correct, but that should prompt some sort of error message.

Have you clicked the down arrow on the get mails button and selected get all mail? Or pressed Shift + F5?
