How do I block geolocation ? (NOT geo.enable)
Hi,
I'd like to disable geolocation that allows a website to know which country I'm in, and to automatically send me to this country's version of the website. I revoked the permission to share my position in website's page info, I disabled geo.enable in about:config, I turned on the "do not track" feature and disabled third-party cookies in Firefox's privacy settings.
Nothing worked, websites can still automatically locate my position, at least the country. Is there a way to prevent it ? It actually is very annoying..
Thank you for your help, and have a nice day !

hello MrZoran, websites can detect your approximate location based on the IP address you are getting assigned by your provider and change their content accordingly - there's not much you or the browser can do about that (except using tor, proxies or vpns to pretend a different IP)...
