GIFs, Videos and other media stop working on firefox after a while.
So I've had this problem for a while now, the thing is, after hours or sometimes just one hour or less of using my browser, things stop working. Gifs freeze, videos never load and some pages like cracked.com won't show me any image, other pages that are meant to zoom or open an image will freeze. If I open a gif by it's image link however it works just fine, it just won't work if it's on some page like facebook.
If I open any of these media on other browsers on my computer, they work just fine indefinitely.
Also if I leave the tab open for a video it might start working hours after I left it there.
I shared the troubleshooting information. I've looking around the internet but couldn't find any solution, hope someone can help.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
While still in Safe Mode,
Type about:support in the address bar and press Enter. Under the main banner, press the button; Copy Text To Clipboard.. Then in the reply box at the bottom of this page, do a right click in the box and select Paste. This will show us your system details. No Personal Information Is Collected.
I've waited a few hours to answer because as I said, sometimes the problem appears hours later, however so far everything is fine in safe mode, here's the information I copied from About:support

Check Avast for updates. If there is still a problem, disable it.
Hello I couldn't check my computer before, well there's no updates so I deactivated it so far no problems with video or gifs at all, though I should say when I was in safe mode eventually video and gif problems appeared.
The only problem I have right now would be cracked.com , and I guess other sites, won't show me any images.
In any case, thank you for the help!
Does this link work? It's one of the images. static.sharethrough.com/m/creative_thumbnails/75699/images/thumb_1000/hqdefault.jpg
Hello again, actually yeah I can see any image if it's its own link, I have problems when they are on the page itself.
That being said, the problem with the gifs and videos returned even though the avast add on is not activated anymore. Seems the problem is not on the add ons.
Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe web sites. Is the problem still there?
I went to safe mode as I've mentioned before the problem appears after a random ammount of time, could be an hour or many, I stayed there for more than one hour but got no problem. Upon returning to normal mode I did get problems though.
There is a difference between Firefox safe mode, and the computer safe mode.
In most computers, there are several type of Safe Mode. The primary ones used most are;
- Safe Mode: Only programs that came with the computer are started. No other programs will be started unless the user starts them.
- Safe Mode with Networking: Same as above but the network drivers (internet) will also be running.
This is a way to test if one of the other programs on the computer is causing the issue.
As a test, disable your protection programs. Only go to safe, secured web sites. Any problem?
Yes I know that haha, I've used both safe modes in the past, what I meant with "as I've mentioned before" was that, I've mentioned the problem presents at different amounts of time, so I can't be totally sure. However in computer safe mode I had no problems for more than one hour.

Open the settings of your protection programs and the firewall. Remove anything about Firefox or Mozilla from the firewall. Carefully check the settings of the other programs. Ask if there is something you are not sure about.
I've removed the exceptions made for FF and also from the list of the shields of Avast. After a while the problem reappeared.
I've noticed something, I think the problem appears after I open too many tabs of something. I usually open a lot of facebook windows for different stuff that's shared, in order to see it better or keep it as a reminder for later. However I think the problem appears after I open too many of these tabs. Could it be that there's some sort of data limit for firefox?.
My internet has limitless access itself though.
Try a lot of tabs from many sites, but no duplicates. After a time, is there a problem?
Restart Firefox. Now try a lot of tabs like you did before.
Hey sorry for not responding this before I've been out of town. So I've tried that, and I've tried more stuff as well and in the end it can last one day without ruining itself, or it can ruin itself 2 minutes after I open it.
In conclusion the problem is random, I've noticed however that some of these problems are grouped. Facebook GIFs, Videos and YT Vids stop working at the same time, while images in certain sites and other media (like buttons) stop working together but they aren't attached to YT videos. Other video players on the web don't ruin at the same time as YT and facebook too.
I've called the big guys to help you. Good luck.
Thanks.
