I am a lightweight helper vrnuz: But I'll give it a shot. By data do you mean you lost all your Bookmarks, tabs, history etc in Firefox? When you reinstalled Firefox did you sign in to turn syncing back on? If you did all this it sounds like somehow your bookmarks, tabs etc were erased somehow before you ever erased your old Windows system. In which case I do not know if they can be recovered. Somehow it was done on your end and not Firefox. In any case they are not responsible for our data. But other's here might have different or better news.

""Can I recover my bookmarks, etc from Firefox server?""
You may get a more educated response. I can't say for sure. I feel like I'm pretty much on my own with making sure my bookmarks are safe and saved. But I'm not sure if you have a recourse. Try asking the question that way.
ok, Can I recover my bookmarks, etc from Firefox server? because i think, it somehow was rewrited, but i dont really sure about it
As I said vmuz. I do not have the definitive answer. Pose the question again. If our data (bookmarks, etc) resides on the server then maybe there is a way. I do not know. But this I can say with some assurance. If somehow you deleted all your data from Firefox before you reinstalled Windows then it's gone from Firefox server. However, if it's on the server, you have now reinstalled Firefox, signed in and started the sync and nothing appears such as you bookmarks then it might be a sure bet it's gone on the server too. I hope someone else helps.
To begin with Sync wasn't intended to be used as a backup media for the purpose of backing up your Firefox data while you reinstall your operating system; and with a single device.
You're lucky it worked once, but is sounds like your data got lost with the second try. The biggest problem we see with Sync is when the user inadvertently requests a new Sync password for one reason or another; when that is done the Sync server automatically wipes the existing Sync data. That data is worthless without the original Sync password which is used to encrypt the data; different password being used - and that data can't be decrypted, rendering it useless.
Sorry, I suspect your data is gone and there isn't anything that we can do to recover it. Not even Mozilla can recover usable data from Sync, only you had the original Sync key.
There is the answer I wanted vmuz to get. I pretty much knew the bad news but wanted a moderator "meister" to give it to him. Thanks mister ed-meister. ":-\\ He'll have to rebuild his whole bookmarks. My first thought in this situation would be to think do I have at least a representative on another browser. I try to keep up fresh "data" as he calls it on another browser by importing it to that browser. That is as close as I come to a backup. So then I'd take the 2nd browser and import it into the new install of Firefox and try to build it back up from there. That's just my angle on it!
