In Thunderbird, is it possible to attach an address book contact list to an e-mail, so the recipient can paste that contact list into their address book?

I want to send some one a contact list from my address book, so they can paste it into their address book without having to re-create the contact list by manually typing each name and address into their address book.

Is this possible?

Thanks!

I'm not aware that you can export a contact list. You can, however, export an address book. Within your (overall) address book you can have several (sub-) address books: for example I have one for family members, one for work colleagues and so on. If you create a (sub-) address book and populate it with the members of your contact list, you can then export that data as a single file (I suggest CSV format) which you can send to someone else as an attachment, and they can then import it into their address book.
