How do I get rid of an app that was downloaded onto Firefox, that has taken over Firefox?

I was checking prices for train vacations and on the Amtrak website I had to download an app called My TransitGuide(myway.com). It has taken over Firefox and I cannot get rid of it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, and restarted my laptop.
