The bottom message preview box gets stuck showing an email message and clicking other emails on the inbox will not change or update the preview box. Shutting Thunderbird down and restarting gives it a quick temporary fix as it will eventually be stuck on the last read email and not preview the other emails selected. I have uninstalled and re installed and its only a temporary fix. Help

Try to rebuild the index file of the troubled folder. Right-click the folder - Properties - Repair Folder

Note, the message pane isn't a preview. Using the message pane you actually open the message.
