My address book contact pane does not appear when trying to send an email. When it used to, the contact names were all jumbled up and I couldn't sort them, in say an alphabetical order.

In the Write window's menu, View|Contacts Sidebar, or F9.

Click on "name" to sort by name. Click again to reverse the sorting order.

Sounds simple enough but my Write option doesn't have a view, contacts sidebar option, if I right click it. If I left click, it opens up for me to write a message. Appreciate your help.

Did you try F9?

How on earth do you use the Write window without a menu or toolbar?

Open the Write window, then use F10 or alt, then View|Toolbars and tick the checkboxes.

I do have a menu and toolbar. I also tried F9 and F10 and nothing happened.
