I want to know if X-Notifier version 4.1 will work properly to check and open Yahoo and Hotmail accounts if I download the new Firefox Quantum
X-Notifier is constantly blocked or workarounds are necessary to get it working again after recent Firefox updates. Now I have received an email to downolad the "new" Firefox called Quantum.
Will X-Notifier work correctly with this? I don't want to download it or change from FF 55 if it doesn't because X-Notifier is one the best add-ons there has ever been to check emails. Actually, any add-on period.

It does not say not compatible with ver 57 https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/xnotifier/ You can contact them, info on Developers site.
You do know that the version you are running 55 is a security risk. If not wanting to deal with this till May 2018 do this as the browser gets security updates. In the mean time you can find another add-on ...
Going back : unfortunately 56.0.2 is no longer safe to use for every day use, but 52.5.0 ESR is! It will continue to get security updates until May 2018, and you can download and install it from this page: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/ Note : Legacy Extensions will be deleted or removed in any version update after May 2018.
You should make a backup of your Profile before going back and just because: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-

Downloaded Quantum (Firefox 57) and X-notifier appears to be working great on all my accounts.
