I entered the config editor to correct the printer off line message as detailed in a previous answer and this worked fine Thunderbird now prints correctly on my default and only printer. The config editor shows all of my previous printers long since defunct. Can I get rid of them?

you must hand edit prefs.js while thunderbird is shut down.
