Web pages appear completely black, but load properly as soon as I move the cursor (mouse). What's wrong?

When I open (some) web pages, including emails, the new window appears entirely black. As soon as I move my mouse (cursor) the black window is replaced by the requested web page. I note that similarly described problems appear widely (but the black windows don't respond to a cursor movement) if I google the symptoms, but I have found no effective recommended solution. I use Windows 7 64 bit and outlook for mail but other reports appear to embrace Windows 10 and Internet explorer.

Have you come across this problem recently and if you are able, could you please offer an explanation or advice?

Kind regards,

Norman Naylor
