showing folders and tasks on same view

When I first added tasks to Thunderbird, I believe that tasks showed at the same time as the folders and email list. Now it is on a separate tab making it far less useful (near zero). Can the tasks show on the initial screen with the folders and email lists?

That fixed it. Apparently it came up in this mode by default when I first used the task "pane".

Perhaps you are talking about the 'Today Pane' ? 'View' > 'Today Pane' > select 'Show Today Pane'
