What legacy extension is it?

Generally speaking:

One option would be: Switch to Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR) for personal use. The downgrade is likely to erase your history and you may need to roll back many extensions to older versions. Unless the legacy extension is pretty critical, it may be more hassle than it's worth.
