I see a reference to buzzfeed, so I guess the images will be remote images.
Nope looking into this further, I do not think they are images at all. They are links to scripts that generate pages and images and do all the user identification and tracking that pays for buzfeed. Given Thunderbird does not run scripts the content does not appear just the placeholders that the scripts are supposed to populate.
Unfortunately it would appear buzfeed do not compose emails, they compose complex programs and send them out in the guise of images in emails. Those that do get them to display best hope buzfeed never gets hacked and gets one of those nasty dropped worms. Otherwise their email will be a source of serious infection.
Ok, and thanks for reading this problem.
I doubt Pinterest is making this problem. But do you see or know why this ocour? I have tried on e laptop I don't connect to the Internet and to receive this shows everything! Since an update to Win10 I have various problems to receive those mails that I subscribe to. This is mostly related to woodwork and seems to be at the moment harmless. Is there so places I can look into Firefox og Thunderbird to solve this buzzfeed as I would like to get those mails? Thanks for your effort in helping me. Steinar
