Why does my email password no longer work?
I have 2 separate email accounts through my ISP. My main email works fine through Thunderbird. My secondary business account email stopped working this morning. I kept getting login errors through my ISP server. I contacted my ISP and we reset the password and I can sign into their web portal and view my secondary email just fine, but when I try to use the password in Thunderbird, it still rejects it. So, I saved all of my original emails, deleted the email account, and started fresh with the same email address and it still rejects the new password. I have attempted to use IMAP and POP and nothing works. I contacted my ISP and they say nothing is wrong on their end, even though they admitted they had problems with a server upgrade last night, but they had no answer as to why it would not work in Thunderbird and they do not support the Thunderbird platform and could not offer any assistance.
Is there ANYTHING I can do to get this email account working under Thunderbird again? What could I be missing?

Your provider does not have to support any particular email client like Thunderbird to give you the correct server settings for their system. That is just their pet answer to get you to go away. See how well it works?
Incorrect server settings or an overactive antivirus software returns the password error. Check your settings.
