[Refresh Firebox] button
Clicking on the blue [Refresh Firefox] button that appears on the Mozilla Support page doesn't work on a Firefox 52.8.0 (32-bit) install on Debian 8 (Jessie) OS, LXDE Desktop. Any insights as to what's causing this, more so a solution, would be greatly appreciated!

Do you want to discuss the problem leading you to consider using Refresh? Refresh is difficult to "undo."
While I don't know what's happening with that button, it could be a sign that Refresh is not available for your current Firefox profile (this can happen if you start up using a different profile than your default profile).
Or maybe a scripting issue with the page??
There are at least two other ways to trigger a Refresh:
Troubleshooting Information page
You can open that using either
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" Help > Troubleshooting Information
- (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
- type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter/Return
The Refresh button is in a box in the upper right. Does it appear there?
Safe Mode / Refresh startup dialog
Use either:
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" Help button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
- (menu bar) Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
and OK the restart.
A small dialog should appear with "Start in Safe Mode" and "Refresh" as options.
If for whatever reason the Firefox Refresh feature doesn't work for you: You can do a manual refresh by creating a new profile and then copying important data files from the old profile. This was mentioned in this comment in a related bugzilla report.
Before going through all that, you may want to describe the problem here, to see if there are other solutions. The Troubleshoot and diagnose Firefox problems article may also be helpful.
Thank you very much everyone! Downloaded/updated to Firefox Quantum v61.0 and changed my profile folder and everything is fine. This inquiry was initiated by a notification on my browser asking if I wanted more info on what's slowing down my browser (v52.8.0). Answering on the affirmative sent me to the Refresh Firefox Page ... of the Mozilla Support Site---the page containing the blue [Refresh Firefox] button. Best regards everyone!
