I don't know what else to tell you. FireFox is not working on the US Mint site. In the interest of complete disclosure it doesn't work on ISNetwork either. they told me to go to Google Chrome, I did and there it works. US Mint told me to go to internet Explorer, I did and it works. Your answers are trite and don't work. I can't fix your problems but I can Switch to another Web and get what I want. If you don't start understanding what your problem is more people will begin migrating away from your
Good Bye
In the interest of science, what was the problem?
Did the site display an error message that you could copy/paste into a reply, or grab a screenshot of?
I put something in a cart and started the checkout. I stopped at the "Payment & Billing" step because I don't have anything I want to buy at the moment...
Were you using a credit card, PayPal, or another method? Is there a pattern to which payment methods have a problem?
Thanks.
If you are having issues with a website working in Firefox, you can report that at wwwwebcompat.com.
Websites should be built using standards, which means they work in all browsers.
I was using Fire Fox. While on the US Mint website I could not and cannot make a credit card purchase. After putting in the needed information, the program started the little spinning around circle (the “wait” sign). It would not go any further. I got out and went back in numerous times, only to get the same results. The purchase worked OK when I used PayPal. I re-checked all the credit card information and verified it was accurate. In case an un-seen gremlin lurked, I deleted all my financial information and re-entered it. I tried it again but it still didn’t work. I contacted the Mint’s Customer Service and told them my problem. They told me Fire Fox would not work on their site and to go to Internet Explorer or Google Chrome. I went to Internet Explorer and made my purchase with no further problems.
Hi Tom12074, thank you for the additional information. Credit card processing often uses a third party service in the background, and there are several ways that could fail, from built-in features like Tracking Protection and the redirect block, to content blocking add-ons. Hopefully we'll get some more reports and can triangulate the issue without having to make any unnecessary purchases.
