Private mode with exceptions

more options

I use Firefox in private browsing by default. However, that means that I always have to login to any website, which can be a pain.

I was wondering if there is some middle ground. For example, if I could whitelist cookies from a specific domain to persist across private mode sessions or to be imported from non-private browsing. I am aware that I could be tracked by those domains, but that is a compromise I'm happy with.

Hi hnder, Firefox doesn't save cookies to disk in private windows, so they are quite temporary. Perhaps there is an add-on which can separately store some cookies and reinsert them on command, or a third party password manager to log you in? Extensions may be limited in their own of data storage in automatic private mode.

I think it would be simpler to use regular mode where you can open a mix of regular and private windows for different sites.
