I want to move Thunderbird from mac to windows. I copied Thunderbird folder following exact steps provided at Mozilla support.

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1257585

When I open Thunderbird on windows it prompts to create email ID and doesn't open copied profile from mac.

TB version on both is 78.4.3. Windows 10 and mac are updated.

Thanks for your reply, I followed these steps and the error now is "your Thunderbird profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible"

The support article is a bit outdated, as copying the Thunderbird folder is no longer sufficient. Try this: empty the contents of the current profile folder on the Windows setup (not the folder, just the contents), then copy the contents of the Mac profile folder into the empty Windows profile folder. Delete the pkcs11.txt file. Restart TB and see if it shows the correct data.

I have multiple profiles and had to set correct one as default.
