Hello.

I wanted to use primary password to protects my saved logins. Well I had to turn this thing off after short time, cause it's really pain to use FF with this.

The main problem is, that FF keep asking for the password. When I open the FF, sometimes when I open site with saved logins (what I was able to track), when I want to sync account...

I though that primary password is here to protect my logins (because without it anyone who can open FF on my PC can simply view my passwords). Chrome solved it at least by asking for windows login. But with this the user experience really suffer.

So this is more feature request, but for some reason feature suggestion site is down. Thanks

It is quite normal that Firefox asks for the Primary Password on startup when you use Sync. This is because Firefox stores the credentials of the Sync account in the Password Manager (logins.json in the profile folder) and you need to unlock the passwords by entering the PP. You should only have to enter the PP once during the session unless you cancel a PP prompt as that logs you out.

Problem is, that it ask again even I already written the password. Also isn't there any way, how to do it without entering password? It's pretty annoying to still have to enter password when you start FF. You also don't have to type again and again password to your account to get it working...

If you want to use Sync and use a Primary Password then your only option is to enter the Primary Password when you start Firefox.

Do you need to use Sync to sync data to other devices because Sync isn't meant to be used as a backup ?

Yes, and that's what I'm point to. I wanted a feature to protect my passwords, but I don't want to type the password again and again...

I don't understand the question. I use Sync because I have multiple devices where I use FF so I want to have them synced.

On the other way, when you type your Primary password to see the pass, then close the security tab and reopen it, you don't have to type it again. So it on the other hands totally miss the point about security.

If you click the eye icon to reveal the password then you need to enter the PP as a security measure. This keeps working until you close the Lockwise tab (i.e you do not get the PP prompt if you click the eye icon again). This doesn't cancel the PP and locks the passwords, so if you reopen Lockwise then the passwords are still unlocked and only clicking the eye gives you the PP prompt. Only if you cancel a PP prompt after you click the eye icon, you lock the passwords as you can see if you close and reopen Lockwise and get a PP prompt.

Well then there must be some small bug, because when I tried it first time, it didn't relock the passwords (eye button) when I closed the Lockwise tab. When I tried it again now, it works. Weird...
