Thunderbird update consequence
Upon updating to Thunderbird 78.10.12, my Thunderbird system became corrupted and unusable. All previous preferences, toolbars, and mail folders have been lost or distorted , and I can't seem to be able to correct through Account Settings or preference settings. Archive, Receipt folders gone. Trash contents gone.

perhaps you could explain exactly what you are seeing. For instance do you have your address book?
