In using T-bird, I used to be able to send an email to 50-60 recipients from diffeent groups. I can't figure out if I can still do this. T-bird doesn't allow me to merge different groups into one email. What can I do to get back to that?

I presume you mean addressbooks when you say groups. I think 102 is easy: - Using customize feature, add an Contacts icon to toolbar when in compose window. That's a one-time task. - in future, in compose window the contact list will always be there on the left. Just select the desired addressbook, tick the desired recipients, tick to add to TO, CC, or BCC and repeat through all addressbooks.
