thunderbird not sync folder sent emails

I On a client's PC I had to install thunderbird in POP3 format to free up server space, but the emails from the inbox were downloaded, but the emails sent from the server were not downloaded. Is there any way to sync?

If the client still has the IMAP account set up, I suggest clicking File>offline and download all messages. Then exit Thunderbird and, in File Explorer, copy the folder to Local Folders'.
