Startup is loading hundreds of tabs, Firefox stalls and I can't edit startup pages.

Windows 7, FF 3.6.X. Just looking for information telling me what keys I can press and hold while Firefox loads, so that my key press commands Firefox to skip loading startup pages. The situation is that FF is locking up almost immediately after loading, I CAN'T click into the menus fast enough.
