Bookmark & Scrapbook sidebar management?

Save / import / export Bookmarks & Scrapbook?

I am trying to transition from Internet Explorer (IE) to FireFox. I am having trouble with bookmarks and scrapbook and have a few questions.

In IE my bookmarks were located here: C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Favorites

QUESTION: Where on my C: drive are FireFox bookmarks located? Where on my C: drive is FireFox scrapbook located?

In IE I was able to export/import bookmarks using the option under the IE browser's FILE menu. I liked this because I could save a .HTM file backup of my bookmarks.

QUESTION: In FireFox how do I do the same for its bookmarks and also its scrapbook? I would like to be able to save a backup of both in case I need to restore them.

In IE I could click on Favorites in the top toolbar and bookmarks would show up in a sidebar menu on the left side of the browser window.

QUESTION: How do I get FireFox bookmarks to do the same? I know how to get the Scrapbook to show in a sidebar but that is not the same as Bookmarks in FireFox.

In FireFox I know you can "Bookmark to Scrapbook" instead of capturing a page.

QUESTION: Is there a way for me to quickly and easily add ALL of my bookmarks to scrapbook? (i.e., all my bookmarks would be "Bookmarked to Scrapbook" - not captured to scrapbook.)

Sorry, I don't use Scrapbook. See this webpage for information. http://amb.vis.ne.jp/mozilla/scrapbook/

Firefox stores bookmarks in the places.sqlite file in your Profile folder. http://support.mozilla.com/en-us/kb/Profiles#How_to_find_your_profile

Not under File in Firefox, that is accessed thru the Bookmarks menu item. Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks >> Import&Backup

{Ctrl + B} to open the Bookmarks sidebar, or you can use the Bookmarks button that is hidden in the Customize palette. https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/How+to+customize+the+toolbar
