As a general rule, you should be able to paste by using one of the three methods supplied by the browser:
- Ctrl+v
- orange Firefox button > Edit > Paste or classic Edit menu > Paste
- right-click > Paste
However, if the editor has a little paste button, that might be blocked by security restrictions. I'm not sure it's worth trying to make those buttons work.

The clipboard in Office is a bit different, the application must be up when you both the copy and paste. The Office clipboard has several components plain text, html.
You might try using "Pure Text" to convert the clipboard to plain text before pasting with "Ctrl+V".
PureText Home Page
"Have you ever copied some text from a web page or a document and then wanted to paste it as simple text into another application without getting all the formatting from the original source? PureText makes this simple by adding a new Windows hot-key (default is WINDOWS+V) that allows you to paste text to any application without formatting."
For going the other way, copying a table from a webpage and pasting into Excel and presumably into MS Word are the extensions
- Table2Clipboard
- TableTools2
The links and my notes to those two extensions can be found at
